Books You’ll Never Read Again

Books come into our homes so easily, but like unwanted guests, they never seem to leave. Most people don’t fall in love with every book they ever buy, which means that you probably have a good-sized stack of Books You’ll Never Read Again.

Why not let someone else get the benefit of those books?

If you’re in Vancouver, the Friends of the Vancouver Public Library are currently collecting books for their annual used book sale.  Not only will you get rid of those books, which would otherwise gather dust in your space, you’ll also be helping out the library, which provides a valuable free service in our community (and it is free—those late fines are your fault!).

If you’re not in Vancouver, ask your local library if they hold a used book sale or take donations of used books.

You can also donate used books to shelters or charity organizations—there are many people in need out there who can’t afford to buy reading material.

Passing books on when you’re done with them is a great way to give back to the community and share what you’ve learned with others, by letting them learn it too. Plus, you don’t have those books hanging around anymore.
