Emma’s 6 Time Management Tips
Time flies! It’s almost April now, so how are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions? Most resolutions will require will power and time management skills to help you reach your goal. Here are a few time management tips to help you along.
1. PLANNING: What steps are required to reach your goal?
2. GOALS: Set mini-goals along the way. Each time you complete a mini-goal you will feel a sense of accomplishment which will help motivate you.
3. PRIORITIZATION: Choose one or two goals or activities to focus on and put all your effort into them. Once you have mastered those activities/goals, add another one.
4. SCHEDULING: Put your goals and activities into your day-planner so you see them everyday. Cross them off as you complete them
5. MONITORING: Go back and monitor your progress so see how far you’ve come, or where you need t o improve.
6. DELEGATION: Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks that are required for you to reach your goal. For example, if your resolution was to have more family time, delegate some of your usual house chores to your family, so you’re not stuck doing them all.
