Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind?

We’ve all heard the expression “out of sight, out of mind”… and that’s what happens when you put something away without having a designated place for it.

It’s very easy to stuff something into a drawer or box somewhere in your home without thinking about whether it belongs there.  It’s not so easy to remember all of those things, after the fact and over time.  Your drawers and boxes can become full of random things with no particular reason for them being there—and how are you to remember where to find them or even that they exist at all?

If you actually find a purposeful place for every item as you put it away, you won’t have this problem.  Two minutes of thought at the outset can defeat two hours of later searching.

My Granny always used to say: “there’s a place for everything and everything in its place”. As I’ve grown up and life has become more and more busy I realize how right she was.

Love the blog - great work with that!~
